Psalm 56 is YAHSHUA speaking to YAH and praising His Word

Psalm 56 is YAHSHUA speaking to YAH and praising Him for His Word. As promised in the Law, YAH raised YAHSHUA from death because of His complete obedience to the Law by giving His life to save us.

Green is for YAH

Red is for YAHSHUA

Blue is for believers

Yellow is for bad

Psalm 56

For the Chief Musician.

To the tune of “Silent Dove in Distant Lands.”

A poem by David, when the Philistines seized him in Gath.

(Son to Father)

56:1 Be merciful to Me, ‘Elohiym,

for man wants to swallow Me up.

All day long, he attacks and oppresses Me.

56:2 My enemies want to swallow Me up all day long,

for they are many who fight proudly against Me.

(YAHSHUA trusts in YAH and His Word)

56:3 When I am afraid,

I will put My trust in You.

56:4 In ‘Elohiym, I praise His Word.

In ‘Elohiym, I put My trust.

I will not be afraid.

What can flesh do to Me?

(His enemies tell lies about Him and want to kill Him)

56:5 All day long they twist My Words.

All their thoughts are against Me for evil.

56:6 they conspire and lurk,

watching My steps, they are eager to take My life.

56:7 Shall they escape by iniquity?

In anger cast down the peoples, ‘Elohiym.

(He trusts in YAH to take care of Him)

56:8 You number My wanderings.

You put My tears into Your bottle.

(could He be talking about His prayers in Psalms here?)

Aren’t they in Your book?

56:9 Then My enemies shall turn back

in the day that I call.

I know this, that ‘Elohiym is for Me.

(He trusts in YAH and His Word. The promise of life to Him in the Law)

56:10 In ‘Elohiym, I will praise His Word.

In YHVH, I will praise His Word.

56:11 I have put my trust in ‘Elohiym.

I will not be afraid.

What can man do to Me?

(He took a vow in Psalm 119 to obey the Law and give His life for us)

56:12 Your vows are on Me, ‘Elohiym.

I will give thank offerings to You.

(YAH raised Him from death because of His obedience in giving His life for us)

56:13 For You have delivered My soul from death,

and prevented My feet from falling,

that I may walk before

‘Elohiym in the light of the living.
