The absolutely beautiful thing about Psalm 20 is that it is the Holy Spirit speaking to YAHSHUA and praying to YHVH. That knowledge reveals so much truth to us. Let’s look.
For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.
(Holy Spirit speaking to Son)
1 May YHVH answer You(YAHSHUA) in the day of trouble.
(YAHSHUA’s day of trouble was during His suffering for us)
May the Name of the Elohiym of Jacob set You up on high,
2 send You help from the sanctuary,
grant You support from Zion,
3 remember all Your offerings,
and accept your burned sacrifice.
(YAHSHUA offered Himself as the Sacrifice for us)
4 May He grant You Your heart’s desire,
and fulfill all Your counsel.
(YAHSHUA’s heart’s desire is Life as we are told in Psalm 21:2-4)
5 We will triumph in Your salvation(YAHSHUA).
In the Name of our Elohiym, we will set up our banners.
May YHVH grant all Your requests.
(Holy Spirit speaking about Father and Son)
6 Now I know that YHVH saves(yasha) His Anointed(Messiah).
He will answer Him from His holy heaven,
with the saving(yesha) strength of His right hand.
(Holy Spirit speaking in union with and for beleivers. We)
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses,
but we trust the Name of YHVH our Elohiym.
8 They are bowed down and fallen,
but we rise up, and stand upright.
(Holy Spirit speaking to Father)
9 Save(yasha), YHVH!
Let the King answer us when we call!
This is so amazingly beautiful to hear the Holy Spirit speaking to YAHSHUA and YHVH and on our behalf and in union with those who believe. We.
